A 17-year-old misfit, Hallam Foe spends his days spying on people from a tree house on the grounds of his father's house in the Scottish Highlands. After an ugly confrontation with his step mother, Hallam runs away to Edinburgh. He finds his tree-top skills well suited for the rooftops of the city while attempting to avoid the perils of the streets below. He soon spies and becomes obsessed with a gorgeous girl named Kate. Will love get Hallam to come down from off of the roof?

Featuring a lively soundtrack with Franz Ferdinand, Sons and Daughters and Orange Juice among others, MISTER FOE is a darkly twisted, entertaining work of magical realism from one of the leading lights of the new Scottish cinema.

The paradox between Hall's seemingly normal (heightened?)social development as exemplified through most of his interactions and his creepy peeping tom behavior parallel his relationship with Kate amazingly! The film is incredible (for many more reasons than this)!
